Who Should Maintain Fire Extinguishers?

According to the Regulatory Reform Fire Safety Order, fire extinguishers that are in commercial properties or places that are required by law to have a fire extinguisher need to be carried out every 12 months by an abled competent person.  This person will need to be able to properly check the fire extinguisher to ensure that it is in a good condition and will work effectively in the event of an emergency. That essentially means it should be carried out by someone who has received the correct tools, training and experience needed to thoroughly check and test the fire extinguisher systems.
